My wife and I stayed at the Callander Meadows on New Years Eve. On arrival Josh & Lesley made us feel so welcome, and carried our bags into the hotel. Our room was so nice, with a lovely view into their back garden. Bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious, with lots of hangers for our clothes. Lesley and Josh invited us to have a drink with their family before we left to go out for dinner, which was a really nice touch, and allowed us to get to know a bit about them. Breakfast choice was excellent, with various cold and hot food available. We will definitely return, and I highly recommend this hotel, to anyone wishing to stay in Callander. Thank you to Josh & Lesley for making our stay such an enjoyable one.Best wishesDrew & Debbie

Susannah, Nick and not to forget Fergus their friendlydog were the perfect hosts - Room was warm and comfortable. In a perfect part of town, near to car park.We were fortunate to have landed the day of Jazz and Blues Festival which gave the little town a lovely vibe in the evening.Wish the Restaurant had been open but we were visiting on a Thursday and the Restaurant is open on Friday and Saturday. If the breakfast was anything to go by we would have been in for a real treat had it been open.Fabulous place to stay.

Fantastic guest house in Callander! Brilliant atmosphere in the gorgeous Scottish countryside. Had never properly visited Callander prior to this but drove up and easily found the guest house situated on the main road. Parking nearby which was easy and convenient. Despite the later check in it worked for us as it gave us time to explore prior. Shops on your doorstep and nice places to eat including in the guest house itself. Beautiful room and very comfortable. Hosts were very friendly and made us feel at home straight away. Great value and breakfast included. An easy 5 star! Would definitely consider staying again

We enjoyed our stay last year so much that there was no discussion as to where we were going this year to celebrate a special birthday. And we were not disappointed. Warm welcome on arrival, lovely, comfortable rooms and an extensive choice for breakfast which was made to order. Delicious. As the hotel is pet friendly, we took our dog with us this year which meant no kennels. Would recommend Callander Meadows to family and friends. Thanks for a great break.

This was my third visit and the first on my own.I enjoyed a lovely welcome from both Nick and Susannah, also Fergus, the house spaniel. I was travelling with our spaniel, Billy, who Fergus happily shared his home with. The usual high standards were evident from the cleanliness of the beautiful building and facilities to the comfort and efficiency of the booking and registration process.Breakfast choice and presentation was to perfection.I have stayed in countless hotels for work throughout Europe and the US and I can honestly say that none have surpassed the experience at Callander Meadows.Thank you to the team!

All too often hotels can be polite and friendly but equally often lack a degree of genuine warmth. Nick & Susannah are true professionals but at the same time extend a warm and genuine welcome not always found in many establishments. The perfect hosts we've enjoyed their company as well as their hospitality. Add to this the outstanding cuisine that Nick puts heart and soul into, the food was truly delightful. We'd heartily recommend this wee hotel in the center of Callander any time.

We arrived early and were welcomed with open arms. Room was immaculate and as it was at the back nice and quiet. Our dog settled in really well, made friends with Fergus! Hotel position is great, right in the centre of town. Parking is tight but the car park is literally 2 minutes away, so accessible and free after 5pm. We booked dinner there as well and were not disappointed, sublime. Just perfect, the starters were great but I have to say being a sea food lover I opted for the scallops and was not disappointed. All in all a perfect meal, a good night's sleep and a perfect breakfast. What more can you ask for. Well, the garden to the rear, weather was great so we really appreciated the bar/restaurant garden to the rear, very chilled. Highly recommend Callander Meadows. Hope to stay there again.

My wife and I decided to head south for a short break as part of her 70th Birthday celebrations. Our hosts at Callander Meadows were delightful. Informative and attentive without being overpowering. Both breakfasts were excellent in terms of quantity, quality and choice. Our room was comfortable and clean so important at anytime but even more so in these days of Covid.Dinner is not currently being offered but I must be honest at £40 per person I doubt if we would have booked. Admittedly, the outside sign says a Restaurant With Rooms or something very similar but I have my doubts as to whether many independent travellers would pay the tariff when there are so many places round about offering perfectly adequate fare for much less. I am not saying what is offered is not worth £40 but will the average traveller be prepared to pay that amount? We really enjoyed our stay and would have no hesitation in recommending it as a place to stay B&B in Callandar.

The hotel is in the centre of town. The period building is complemented by exquisite furniture. The owners welcome and helpfulness was exceptional. The chef also teaches at Nick Nairn’s cookery school, you can imagine how good breakfast was from the fresh berries to the succulentsausage. The room was large, clean, with a huge shower, four poster bed and a selection of teas coffee and hot chocolate. Parking was free outside.I look forwards to our return soon. Very relaxing. There are a number of local walks such as a meander by the river,Branklinn Falls, Ben Gulipen or Ben Ledi. The lady of the house will guide you further. A word of warning the Mhor Bakery is only a few doors along it can do serious damage to your waistline.

We visited Callander for the Jazz and Blues festival. Accommodation available during this weekend was very limited but we struck lucky! The hotel was in an ideal location and although there was no on street parking outside the hotel, the nearby car park was reasonably priced for all day parking. The owners were friendly and welcoming despite us arriving a little later in the day than previously planned. Our bedroomwas comfortable, clean and warm considering the cold, damp weather outside. The evening meal in the restaurant was thoroughly enjoyed and the tasty cooked breakfast on Sunday morning set us up for the day!Unfortunately we were only able to stay for one night and didn’t have time to relax and enjoy the comfort of the downstairs lounge with its cosy wood burner. If returning to Callander we would certainly return to the Callander Meadows. Many Thanks.

This BnB was a pleasure to stay in. We had three rooms and all of them were furnished and decorated with great care. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. The landlady was very friendly, has a dog herself, and we were taken care of very well. The only thing slightly annoying, was the loud pump in the bathroom.

Very decent B and B accommodation. Breakfast was very good with a wide menu. The shower room is quite small but adequate. There is some hanging space and small drawers in the bedside units but otherwise it's 'live out of the suitcase'. Some routine checks - like making sure milk pods were replaced - were missed. Good bed, quiet room (to the front!).

This was a one night stopover enroute to The Highlands. We occupied a twin bedded room whilst our son and his wife took the double. The double was spacious and comfortable whilst the twin bedded room was a little tight for room with a "quaint" ensuite. We opted for an evening meal which did not disappoint. Beautifully cooked and presented. All the produce was locally sourced or made in house. The service was excellent and friendly. I would not hesitate to stop here again but I would not have the twin bedded room.

Our brief stay at this 200 year old town house incentral Callander was certainly pleasant, and our room was comfortable and well appointed. Susannah and her staff were very friendly, and very accommodating when it came to our dog, and for that we are very grateful! Unfortunately we didn't get the chance to eat in the restaurant, but the breakfast selection was varied and very tasty! The only negative experience was the noise from late evening revellers from the pub opposite, congregating in the street outside the property. This was unfortunate, as there was little our hosts could do to address this. Overall a pleasant experience, thank you.

Would definitely recommend for a weekend/short stay as we did and will be returning in the future maybe as a family next time. (Cons) Very minor but four poster bed a bit squeaky when turning over etc, toilet quite noisy and TV signal initially wasn'tgreat but once mentioned it was sorted out promptly and didn't bother us for a 2 night stay.
